My Dear Veterans is a Russian-language documentary about Ludmila Schnaider, a Ukrainian-Canadian photographer whose mission, with time running out, is to preserve the testimonies of WWII veterans living in Canada. These are Canadian veterans, as well as from all different backgrounds, including those from the former Soviet Union. This special documentary project will be the first Russian language project undertaken by the TLN Media Group. According to recent Census results, there were an estimated 1,359,655 people of Ukrainian origin residing in Canada, making them Canada’s eleventh largest ethnic group and giving Canada the world’s third largest Ukrainian population behind Ukraine, itself, and Russia. Ludmila’s story will inspire and connect Russian language speakers and all Canadians from coast to coast to coast.
